Cosmetic Nurse Specialist Launches 'The Art of Beauty' Curriculum
Educational Retreat Combines Beauty and Science Learning with Boca Destination
BOCA RATON, Fla. – August 27, 2003 – Donna Tozzi began to dabble in the area of beauty in college, where she had two
desks in her dorm. One desk was for nursing books and the other was to display her supply of wholesale cosmetics. Before
parties, a line would form outside Tozzi’s dorm room. She would give her girlfriends beauty tips and make up lessons. From
that point forward she knew that she wanted to merge her passion for aesthetics with her nursing profession.
Today, the forty-something cosmetic nurse specialist has more than 10 years of experience under her belt. After working
in New York under some of the top name plastic surgeons, treating a celebrity clientele and paying her dues as a surgical
nurse, Tozzi is ready to capitalize on her entrepreneurial spirit and share her knowledge with the nursing world.
Tozzi recently launched The Art of Beauty, a four-day educational retreat that nurses are invited to attend as a means of
advancing career opportunities, learn the latest and best practices within cosmetic nursing through small, hand on workshops
while also enjoying some time off to rejuvenate and relax in sunny Boca Raton, Florida.
“Many nurses do not understand their full potential and the opportunities they can create for themselves,” said Tozzi. “The
Art of Beauty is a long weekend that gives nurses the tools needed to increase their knowledge-base and income potential.”
The Art of Beauty mixes business with pleasure so attending nurses can have the best of both worlds. Nurses receive advanced training and education on the
following topics:
- SCLEROTHERAPY: leg vein cosmetic injections plus duplex doppler ultrasound
- BOTOX and DERMAL FILLERS: Collagen™, CosmoPlast™, CosmoDerm™, Restylne™, Artecoll™, Juvederm™, Radiance™…and SKIN CARE…and how all three
integrate for the ‘full picture’ and a tremendous increase in business
- INCORPORATING SPA THERAPY IN PROCEDURES: easing fears, pampering patients and creating a calming experience
- THE INNER FACIAL: supplementation to enhance overall patient results and well-being, as well as your revenue
- BEAUTY BIZ: how to effectively market yourself, including superb, foolproof tips by Dale Carnegie for optimal success
Participants also benefit from collaboration with Innamed Corporation, a company that manufactures collagen, cosmoplast and cosmoderm.
“Nurses leave with a better understanding of how to position themselves in their career and blend aesthetic services with cosmetic nurse specialist treatments,” said
Tozzi. “Physicians find this to be an effective way to train nurses to do many of the cosmetic treatments and to add additional revenue streams to the practice. It is a
win-win proposition.”
